the first dig: a DRIVEWAY

Friday, July 1 we celebrated our 10 year anniversary! Joseph mentioned this to our builder Jed (his website) and so he started the physical part of this project we've been working on since last September! Hurray!

The driveway is exactly where Evan envisioned it last Fall when he came to walk our lot. Thank you Evan!

I have never been so excited about a driveway before! Yipee! =)

When we were up there watching Jed dig, Henry climbed up a pile of loose rock and dirt. One of the big 3 foot wide rocks rolled down the pile and pinned his leg under it. Joseph and Jed jumped over to help and lift the rock off Henry. It took him two days before he was walking again instead of crawling.. his whole inner calf is one big bruise! Poor guy! Joseph and Andrew gave him a blessing and we were all thankful for that!
