So many choices! Many of these pictures will probably give me the shivers remembering how stressful these choices seemed... I just keep telling myself that somehow it will all come together. However, the fact that I dreamed about tile last night should show that even my brain cells are feeling the stress of deciding everything =0
one of many many sets of measurements for China order
The morning moon!
so glad we didn't stain this... it took two weeks.
stained door jambs!
Joseph's bench!
Henry (and Grace) came with me to the flooring store to be my floor try-er-out-er. He did a great job telling me which floors were nice to walk on. =)
prepping to paint-- which takes twice as long as it does to actually paint!
This brings feelings of PAINT-phobia.
They replaced the broken window
More paint phobia.
Nice lake under the deck.
On this particular Sunday, we had the pleasure of Andrew's company! He led a great game of hide and seek which led to....
...here is everyone looking for him....
And we found him!! This picture is actually Andrew dangling his feet down the slide trying to help Joseph out. Remember how we had to dry wall the slide in? Yes, well. We thought it would be fun to try to climb up the insanely slippery slide. 20 minutes later....
If you look closely, you can see Joseph's hand poking out under the drywall. This delighted the girls. Eventually, Joseph was back on this side of the dry wall. Elijah subsequently had a turn at going down the slide....and getting stuck there. Another 20 minutes of extraction.
On another day, my dad and Sara came! Hurray!
We love Sara!
Sara even helped Joseph build the beams for the master bedroom. She worked very hard! Thank you Sara!!
Stained, uncovered rail!
super excited about the stain color!
hanging out on the scaffolding
The first room painted was the one I spent the least time worry (and crying) over.... and it was waaaaaay bluer than we were expecting. But I guilt-ily LOVE it. I always said I shouldn't paint rooms blue just because I love blue, but I take it all back. I should always paint a room blue because I really like it =)
I have way to many of pictures like this on my phone--that I've then texted to various VERY very kind family members who don't tell me to stop asking for help. Thank you SOOO much!!
As of today, the paint in the basement is done! Hurray!
Mud room is also done! I love the benches Joseph built!!!
And here is the kind Joseph who lets me paint the room bluuuuuuuue.

I can't remember if I ever mentioned the garage doors finally went in!
orders are in on the flooring, most countertops and bathrooms! AND knobs!
on the schedule: Painting will be finished next week, cabinets are scheduled for installation a week from Monday, March 6! Hurray!
I suppose I should make mention of the exterior of the house...which looks like it did in November. Maybe even October. =\ Because of what a crazy January we had with snow, a different house went before us in the schedule... They were about to start this past Wednesday, but then that was a shock when I walked by and it was different than we initially thought... anyway, we have a meeting on Monday to make sure we are all on the same page and then maybe we'll have an exterior on the house. Sigh. House building!
