BUT. I could only smile from ear to ear when I saw this:
the moon! all of Joseph's lights!
lights on in the house feels magical...
a gaggle of lights makes daytime in this basement =)
When my mother saw the cabinet knobs I picked she enthusiastically "complimented", 'you are so brave to put those in' =? Hopefully the pendant that will hang above the island won't also be a brave one, lol
We LOVE the finished music room wall...we just need some marble or something. Has anyone ordered marble for here yet? Anyone picked it up yet? Anyone?
(Our flooring guy likes to come once a week.)
I love how Joseph put those lights right over our cool, sleekified shelves
10 points if you know what these $$suckers$$ are!!
The door receiving it's paint
Here are some more unfinished shots of unfinished flooring. So glad I put that order in quickly so the floor could be in two months ago. I need a rolling eyes emoji.
waiting for it makes us like it more, said the good attitude.
Every time I look at that door I'm so glad I made them switch it to a big window door
Our tile man came back from Hawaii so the tile is almost all in! (Noelle likes this tub because the insulation is pink. )
Thanks Joseph for finding that 30% off coupon =)
We found ancient pottery buried beneath layers of soil that seem to have not been disturbed for centuries.
So...this is funny. If you have 20/20 vision like me, you'll see two *different* paint colors here. Ignore the dark side boards above, notice the sand colored long board-this is the trim. Now look in the middle of the white boards. Aha! Two paint colors. Which one would you choose? I already chose one...but-like every thing else in this house- I'm second guessing it. The white on the left or the white on the right?
I think the rock guys worked one day this week. =<
masking and staining
tub deck during installation
glad we decided to paint the door the wall color
i love this crown =)
this picture does not adequately highlight the amount of mud on these two children when they came back from an afternoon at the house...
Also, they were the mud artists who made the clay plots. It wasn't the Lamanities. =) Aren't they talented? Muddy. But talented.
Next week: finish all the stuff that was going to be finished this week. As Henry says, you either laugh or you cry.
