I don't have many pictures because I have been going up to the house in the middle of the night to bring Joseph his dinner. Nevertheless, today needs a post because Joseph is still working up there. So lets do this math together.
Last night Joseph went to bed at 8pm. He was up at the house working at 2:30am. He rushed back here for his 7am meeting and worked his day job until 3pm. Then, he raced back up to the house... he was going to come home at 10pm but a kind soul in our ward, Tyler Hardy, came up to help him... Joseph is always so thankful for someone coming to help him that he stays until the other person needs to leave. Tyler said he could stay late tonight. So. Joseph is still up there.
2:30-7am: 4 1/2 hours
3pm- midnight: 9 hours.
So, for the past 24 hours here is what he was doing:
House: 13 1/2 hours
Work: 8 hours
Sleep: 2 1/2 hours.
Not all of the days have been like this... this one definitely hits the ball out of the park. But, many days have been very close to this. This line from Princess Bride keeps running through my head:
"I have just taken 10 years of your life."
Next time you meet someone who'd like to do their own electrical, you just send them on over to us because we have a few things to tell them.
Or if you meet someone who is wondering what they could do to over-prepare to be a marine, tell them to do their own electrical .
they delivered the rock =)
new little deck off master
they switched out our laundry room door for the one with a bigger window, yay!
platforms built out in theater! yay!
Alisha's awesome closet idea!
Jimmy, our best friend ever. EVER.
bringing Joseph his dinner...
In other house news, we have a roofer. Cheer! Loudly. very loudly.
They cleared the snow and ice off the roof today. Wouldn't it be nice if they close it in tomorrow.
Insulation is done.
Final electrical inspection will be this week.
Stocking dry wall tomorrow or the next day and then dry wall starts going up (assuming the roofer is actually going to stay being our roofer)
They build our last deck off the master.
I have to pick garage doors. I'm trying to decide if they should be the accent color or the trim color. What a silly thing to have to think about. =/
I bought a great pile of very pretty lights for our house at a really cool barn. Grace loved the chandelier.
and there is so so so much more
